MEET OUR STAFF
Dr. Mike Evenson, DVM
Dr. Karen is our small animal vet and a co-owner of Northeast Vet Services. Dr. Karen graduated from the WCVM in 2000 and started working here shortly after. You can often find Dr. Karen on the back of a horse, playing with her dogs & cats, or crafting. Dr. Karen's always up for small animal emergencies or soft tissue surgeries.
Dr. Karen Sigfrid, DVM
Dr. Mike is our primary large animal vet and a co-owner of Northeast Vet Services. Dr. Mike is a second generation vet who grew up watching his dad Dr. Bob Evenson. Dr. Mike is always interested in learning new things, but specializes in equine dentistry, locomotor diseases of horses, and orthopedics in small animal.
Dr. Robert Evenson, DVM
Dr. Bob has been operating out of Tisdale as a veterinarian for 50 years before passing the torch onto his son Dr. Mike. Dr. Bob still appears at the clinic from time to time to help us out with the occasional handyman job, but now mainly spends his days maintaining his beautiful yard and camping.
Breanna Rak, VOA
Breanna will likely be one of the first faces you will see when you walk through our doors! After completing her VOA course in 2013 before finally making the move to Tisdale in 2017 where she lives with her boyfriend Luke, their two dogs Oliver and Charlie, and Fiona the kitten! Breanna’s favourite part of the job is getting to know our clients and being able to help them to the best of her ability and making everyone’s visit as pleasant as possible!
Paulette Evenson, Finance
Paulette takes care of the financial part of our team. From payroll to keeping the lights on, she does it all! When she's not in office you can often find her spending time with her grandkids or swinging clubs on the golf course!
Tanya Ofukany, RVT
Tanya began working at Northeast Veterinary Services in 2005 after graduating from SIAST with her Veterinary Technology diploma. Tanya is the Head Technician and the Surgery Technician of our team. She has one dog, one cat, and two children that keep her busy! Tanya's favourite part of being a surgery technician is all the young pets she sees for surgery.
Kathryn Huber, RVT
Kathryn was raised on a mixed farm outside of Bruno, Sask. She graduated from the SIAST Veterinary Technology program in 2017. She has been working with Northeast Veterinary Services since June 2019 and has since taken on the role of being our Dental Technician. She enjoys helping on the family farm and has a few cows of her own.
Penny Wilson, RVT
Penny joined us at Northeast Veterinary Services in 2019 after graduating from SIAST with her Veterinary Technology diploma in 1998. She has one puppy, twos cats, and two children that keep her busy! Penny's favourite part of the job is getting to know owners and their pets.
Hayley Leffler, RVT
Hayley graduated from Sask. Polytech in 2021 from the Veterinary Technology program and joined our team at Northeast Vet Services, although she worked at the clinic long before she went to school as a student. Hayley is our Large Animal Technician and loves working with all large animals, but horses especially! Her favourite part of the job is assisting with cow c-sections.
